She drafts and defends patent applications, handles oppositions and is involved in actions before the Dutch court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gemma works across the entire chemical field, in particular on cases in the areas of antibodies, vaccine technology, polymer chemistry, coatings, and process technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gemma graduated in Biochemistry from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, specializing in protein chemistry. She then obtained a PhD in the biomedical sciences from the University of Leuven, Belgium. In her doctoral research she investigated the role of calcium in autophagy, a process involved in i.a.
