Gerben is active in the field of physics and ICT-related technologies in a broad sense, including applications in medical technology. optical systems, artificial intelligence, image processing, horticulture, data encryption and compression, and quantum computing (both algorithms and hardware). He assists a wide range of clients with anything patent related, ranging from individual inventors to SMEs to universities to multinational corporations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gerben started working at De Vries & Metman in 2018. Before that, he obtained an MSc degree in Physics and an MA degree in History at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. After his studies, he worked as a scientific programmer, mostly focussing on digital image processing, at the Radiotherapy department of the Academisch Medisch Centrum in Amsterdam. He went on to study for a PhD degree in Medical Physics at the same institution, working on a model implementing computational fluid dynamics in the context of the simulation and optimization of hyperthermia treatments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":492,"menu_order":27,"template":"","sector":[6],"class_list":["post-113","experts","type-experts","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","sector-ict-electronics-high-tech"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\n
