Lilian studied molecular sciences at Wageningen University. She also holds a degree in Dutch law from the University of Amsterdam, with a master’s thesis on supplementary protection certificates. She joined De Vries & Metman in 2007, after working as a patent attorney at AkzoNobel for 14 years. 

Lilian operates in the field of chemistry in the broadest sense, working on matters ranging from process technology to pharmaceuticals. In addition to protecting and defending the interests of her clients before the Dutch and European Patent Offices and providing strategic advice, she has extensive experience in providing litigation support for actions in the Dutch courts.
