Ferry studied applied physics at the University of Groningen and law at the University of Leiden. He joined De Vries & Metman in 2002. Before that, Ferry worked at the Dutch Patent Office as patent examiner and for the patent department of KPN. Ferry’s field of expertise includes electronics and ICT, including telecommunications, software, computer technology, user interfaces, and business methods. Ferry’s particular interest is in patent litigation where he was been involved in most patent litigation cases in these fields over the past 15 years. Ferry is also chairman of the Disciplinary Council for the Dutch Institute of Patent Attorneys and member of the Disciplinary Committee of the European Patent Institute.
